Really weird poop today

So today when I changed his diaper he has these white balls in his poop. I am so confused and have no idea what it is. They were all uniform in size and were about 1/16 of an inch around and very white. The rest of the poop looked normal. I didn't notice him easting anything weird yesterday that would have caused this. Anyone have any ideas? could this be related to being GF?

Last night for dinner he had his pasta and lamb again which he ate fine. Today for breakfast he had a GF cereal bar which he also enjoyed and some gorilla munch. for snack he had the EnerG pretzels with the sesame seeds on them for the first time - he didn't notice a difference at all & ate a bunch of them (the poop came before the pretzels so I am sure it wasn't the sesame seeds). for lunch he had Red Kidney Beans (for the first time) mixed in with rice and a tomato/pepper salad. He ate about half of it enthusiastically but then didn't want anymore. He doesn't usually eat a big lunch so I am not surprised but I am happy he liked the beans & rice!

You should have posted pics of the poop.

The praegers spinach pancakes for kids are Gluten Free, but the regular ones are NOT. The front of the box says gluten free (for the kiddie ones).

I am going to post a pic of chubby Kira this weekend. Promise. My dh knows how to link or digital camera to the computer and figure out all that stuff.

I still haven't cracked open the Special Diets book. I'm lazy.

eww. well I guess if it happens again maybe I should take a pic. again eww.

oh ok - I definitely didn't see the kiddie ones. darn.

I just started to read the book yesterday. So far its a pretty easy read though the child in the story (Sam) is nothing like Victor. That always discourages me because I think this diet won't help him. Besides the hand flapping victor isn't like Jenny's kid either. sigh. well I still have to try!

Hi there, I don't think the white balls are necessarily related to GFCF. If it continues, of course call your pediatrician. I wouldn't rule out worms, though that seems a long-shot unless he mouths his toys a lot, like at daycare. My son put everything in his mouth at that age.

As for constipation, that could be GFCF-related. Rice can be constipating. Just make sure he gets a lot of clear liquids and fruit.

Also, don't worry if your son is not like Lisa's or Jenny's. All ASD kids are totally different, though they may share some qualities.
